Hall Green Little Theatre - history
Since 1950, Hall Green Little Theatre has been producing quality drama and is run by committed volunteers who all have the same passion and enthusiasm for theatre.
They produce 10 productions per season, six on the main stage, and four in the studio.
The theatre also has a rehearsal room, large wardrobe and props departments, licenced bars as well as other facilities.
The theatre was built on land in 1950 that used to belong to the estate of Fox Hollies Hall.
The volunteers had to raise money and submit to the City Council planning department, who allowed them to rent a plot of land.
The current President of HGLT is Sir Derek Jacobi CBE, who succeeded after the death of Lord Olivier in 1989.
